Flashblock is an extension for the Mozilla, Firefox, and Netscape browsers that takes a pessimistic approach to dealing with Macromedia Flash content on a webpage and blocks ALL Flash content from loading. It then leaves placeholders on the webpage that allow you to click to download and then view the Flash content.

Flashblock currently blocks the following content types:

2008-05-16: Flashblock 1.5.6 released for Firefox 1.5 to Firefox 3.0.x (trunk), Netscape Navigator 9, and Flock.
2008-05-16: Flashblock 1.3.9 released for Firefox 1.0 to 3.0.x, Mozilla Suite 1.7.x, Seamonkey 1.0a to 2.0a including SuiteRunner, Netscape 7 to 9.0, and Flock.
